Salvanix Uganda – Grade B Extract Quality

Ugandan vanilla beans are among the most aromatic and flavour-forward varieties in the world. Each pod is hand-selected and traditionally fermented to develop its signature sweet, chocolate-spiced scent. This Grade B variant features drier, slimmer pods — ideal for home extract-making, grinding, and vanilla sugar. Their lower moisture content accelerates aroma release, making them a smart, everyday choice for the kitchen.

Our recommended bean for vanilla extract: whole, intact pods with full vanillin that keep well, so you get the most extract for your money.

Grade B, Splits or Cuts?

  • Grade B: whole, intact beans. Keeps longest. Our recommended bean for extract.
  • Splits: same bean, split skin. A little cheaper, but dries out faster, so use soon.
  • Cuts: short pieces with 0.5–1% vanillin. You need 2–4× more for the same strength.
